- New Fuel Filter for 2.0 TFSI: I used BOSCH F 026 403 012
- Socket Wrench Set: 10mm socket, T25 Torx
- Philips and small flathead screwdriver (for line clamps)
- Pliers for squeezing fuel lines
- Drain pan to catch leaking fuel during disconnection
- (Optional, highly recommended) Gloves and safety glasses for protection
π§ Steps β Audi A6 C6 Fuel Filter Replacement:
- Locate the fuel filter β it's mounted before the rear right wheel, under the car on the passenger side.
- Remove the protective cover using a 10mm socket, T25, and a trim removal tool.
- Disconnect the fuel lines by squeezing both sides with pliers (fuel will start flowing β have the drain pan ready).
- Remove the old filter by loosening the retaining strap using the T25 Torx.
- Install the new Bosch fuel filter β make sure the flow direction matches. Reattach fuel lines securely.
- Prime the fuel system β turn the key to ignition (without starting the engine) a few times to activate the fuel pump. Check for leaks.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, inspecting the filter area for any fuel leaks.
