Changing the fuel filter on your Audi A6 C6 is essential for maintaining optimal engine performance. This guide makes it an easy DIY job.
🧰 Tools & Materials:
- New Fuel Filter (for 2.0 TFSI)
- 10mm Socket & T25 Torx
- Screwdrivers (Philips & flathead)
- Pliers
- Drain pan
- Gloves and safety glasses
🔧 Step-by-Step Replacement:
- Locate the fuel filter under the car, on the passenger side, just in front of the rear wheel.
- Remove the protective cover (10mm socket, T25).
- Place a drain pan underneath and disconnect the fuel lines. Be prepared for fuel to spill.
- Loosen the retaining strap (T25) and remove the old filter.
- Install the new filter, ensuring the flow direction arrow is correct, and reconnect the lines.
- Prime the system by turning the ignition on (without starting the engine) a few times. Check for leaks.
- Start the engine and check again for any leaks around the filter.
