DIY Rear Door Sound Deadening for Audi A6 C6

🔧 What You’ll Need:
- Sound deadening mats or foam (Butyl-based recommended)
- Roller tool
- Cleaning cloths & alcohol or degreaser
- Scissors or utility knife
- Gloves (optional)

Do not close / cover / clog water drains as it can cause corrosion.
🪛 Steps Overview:
- Remove the Rear Door Panel
- Follow our door panel removal guide to get access to the interior.
- Clean the Surface
- Wipe down all surfaces inside the door with alcohol or a degreaser for proper adhesion.
- Apply Sound Deadening Material
- Cut to fit and firmly press onto metal surfaces.
- Focus on large flat areas and around the speaker mount.
- Use a roller to remove air bubbles and ensure strong contact.
- Add Acoustic Foam
- For even better results, layer foam over the deadening mat or apply it to plastic trim parts.
- Reassemble the Door Panel
- Make sure all clips and cables are reconnected properly before pressing the panel back into place.
