Install a non-OEM reverse camera in your Audi A6 C6 with this DIY guide.

Learn how to connect to your Android head unit, add relays, and wire it properly.

🛠️ Required tools & materials:

• Reverse camera with integrated trunk handle
• Filter (to improve camera signal)
• T25 Torx screwdriver
• 10mm socket wrench
• Upholstery removal tools
• Tool to pierce rubber grommets
• Stiff 1-meter wire (for pulling cables from rear seat to trunk)
• Wire crimper
• For LED tail lights: 12V 30/40A relay, fuse, and fuse bypass (tail lights provide only pulsed 0.4–0.7V)

💡 Relay Wiring Diagram for LED Tail Lights:

• 30: +12V from battery or fuse box
• 86: Ground
• 85: Reverse light signal (green with yellow stripe in my car)
• 87: Power to camera

⚠️ Tip: Blue wire tap connectors were unreliable—I recommend soldering connections for reverse light signal.

🎥 Camera Integration with Android Radio:

• For a single reverse camera, connect the RCA (chinch) cable and enable auto-reverse view on your Android HU.
• For multi-camera setups using the DIYKIT 4-in-1 system, also connect the “REVERSE” wire from the Android head unit to the DIYKIT steering trigger cable.
