Replacing / removal of the oil sump (oil pan) on your Audi A6 C6 is a critical maintenance task—especially for vehicles with the EA113 engine, which is notorious for oil pump failure due to a manufacturing defect. If not addressed, this failure can destroy your engine without warning.

🔧 What You’ll Need:

  • Replacement oil sump/oil pan (if your is leaking)
  • Socket set and torque wrench
  • Oil drain pan

  • Sealant

There are 18 screws holding the pan; 2 of them are hard to access, and the Audi service manual recommends replacing all screws as they stretch under pressure.
